- Dogs, cats and ferrets under 3 months of age cannot be brought to Belgium.
- Pets from Latin American countries may not travel to Austria if they are under 7 months old. This restriction will be applied depending on the country of origin of the pet.
On the other hand, in order to transport pets to Belgium, the following requirements must be met:
Installation of a microchip that identifies the pet (according to regulations) that allows its reading at its entry into Belgium.
The pet must be vaccinated against rabies.
The pet should be checked by a veterinarian to evaluate its condition.
A certificate of vaccination of the pet.
An international pet health certificate.
A sanitary export permit for the pet animal.
